Anna excitedly raced up the stairs to Jeremy's room. She had only just recently returned to Mystic Falls. Her mother had warned her that returning to Mystic Falls after the Founder's Day incident was extremely dangerous, but Anna found she couldn't help herself. She needed to see Jeremy. She knew she was behaving like a lovesick teenager, but she couldn't help it- who was to say she would ever again meet someone who would accept her nature and love her for who she really was.
Jeremy's Aunt Jenna had let her in. She knew the younger (physically, if not biologically) woman liked her. As she understood it, Jeremy's last relationship had been a hard break-up and Aunt Jenna liked the fact that Anna seemed good for Jeremy. The two exchanged pleasantries and Aunt Jenna politely asked where she had been the last few days. Anna explained that there had been a family emergency and she had to leave town for a few days- everything was fine now, thanks- but she was glad to be back in Mystic Falls.
Aunt Jenna gave her condolences and said it was a pity she had to miss the Founder's Day celebrations. Anna couldn't have disagreed more, but she feigned disappointment. She asked if Jeremy was home, and Aunt Jenna had said he was upstairs in his room.
Anna knocked on the door, anxious. She knew the two of them had left a lot of things unresolved when she had left...but she hoped they could resume where they had left off.

Jeremy was in his room, doing the same he mostly did when he was in there, listened to music, sat there drawing, and playing games on his computer. He had missed Anna a lot after she left. Jeremy didn`t like it much that she just had to take off like that. He never knew when he was gonna get to see her again, or if he ever was gonna see her again. Him knowing about what she was, didn`t stop him for liking Anna for who she was. He thought back on the time he asked Anna to turn him as well into what she was.
He really missed Anna. During the time he had spent time with the other people around him and getting to know more about the creatures that had arrived to Mystic Falls. A lot of things had happened after Anna left. At the moment, Jeremy was sitting on his bed drawing more just to let the time pass by. He heard a knock on his bedroom door and wondered who it was. Was it aunt Jenna or was it Elena wanting something or just to check up on him to make sure he was okey.
Jeremy sighed and got out of bed, left the drawings on the bed and walked over to the door and opened. " I`m fine elena " Jeremy said and then looked at the person who was standing there. Jeremy blinked a bit and looked at Anna.
"Anna..when did you get back here ?" Jeremy asked her and smiled a bit, happy to see that she was back and alive.

"Just recently." She enveloped him in a tight hug, conscious not to crush him with her supernatural strength. "Mom and I had to wait to make sure all of the chaos of Founder's Day had died down." She smiled. They had both survived Founder's Day. That was all that was really important. She released Jeremy and stepped back.
"She didn't really want to come back, but I had to see you again. Sorry, that came out corny." She knew it wasn't really a rational decision coming back to Mystic Falls. Pearl was right- their lives were still in danger. But Anna figured that if the Salvatore brothers had been able to keep themselves out of trouble since they had returned to Mystic Falls...well, so could she. Besides, she had grown tired of running a long time ago.
She spotted the drawings lying on the bed. "What have you been drawing? If you don't mind, that is." She took a step toward his bed. She hoped they could get back to the way things had been.
She flashed him another smile. "Just remember, it's going to take more than a couple vampire hunters to drive me out of Mystic Falls, Jeremy Gilbert."

Jeremy smiled brighter and hugged Anna back. It felt good to hug her again and to see her. He kept smiling as they were still hugging. " Well i`m glad that you made it back" he said. Jeremy looked at her as she released him and stepped back. "Well i`m also glad that you didn`t listen to your mother and just came back here to see me , because i wanted to see you too Anna, i really missed you " Jeremy said and smiled some more to her.
He knew that Anna could be in danger being back in Mystic Falls, but Jeremy was gonna do everything he could to protect her from being hurt, or killed. Jeremy looked over to his bed as Anna had noticed the drawings on his bed. He walked over to the bed and grabbed one drawing. "Nothing much really..just some werewolves.." he said and looked at her. " You wanna look at it ?" he asked her and smiled a bit.
Jeremy smiled brighter at her next comment. " It sure is, and i hope that you are staying here now, and not just going away again " jeremy said and looked at her. He handed her the drawing so she could look at it. He walked and closed the door before turning back to Anna.

"Werewolves?" Anna repeated with concern. "Umm...I realize this may seem stupid coming from a vampire...but...they're not real, are they? Have there been sightings around Mystic Falls?" That would be just great...vampire hunters followed by werewolves. She wondered what other complications her life in Mystic Falls would suffer next...zombies?
"Nope, here to stay this time." She crossed her heart with a smile.
She took the drawing and looked at it. Jeremy's level of detail was, as always, amazing. She had seen some of his earlier vampire sketches, created from a mix of firsthand observations and what he had read in the Gilbert journals. She hoped he hadn't stopped drawing vampires out of fear of offending her. His drawings had been very accurate...he could capture not only the physical appearance but a good variety of emotion. She had seen sadness in some of those vampire eyes, and when he decided to make them look fearsome...well some of the drawings sent chills down her spine. He had captured the deep black eyes of a hungry vampire perfectly.
"Wow, Jeremy. It looks amazing, as always." She looked at him. "It probably sounds weird, but I've never actually run into one." And if what Jeremy had drawn was any indication, she never wanted to. The thing looked like it could rip her apart and damage her even beyond her own extraordinary healing abilities. She knew that in pop culture vampires and werewolves were often depicted as enemies, but had no idea if there was any truth to the matter.

Jeremy looked at Anna when she asked about the werewolves. " Yeah there`s been spotted werewolves around here in Mystic Falls.." Jeremy said and sighed a bit. " I knew about at least one werewolf.." he said. Jeremy knew about Mason Lockwood and his furry side. " Other than that i am not sure of.." he also said. He thought of how dangerous one werewolf bite was for a vampire.
He smiled to her. " That`s great" Jeremy said.
He looked at the drawing Anna was holding in her hand. He smiled when she said it looked great. "Thanks, it means a lot to me what you think of it " Jeremy said to her and smiled brighter. "Well i hope you won`t run into one..because if they get you and bites you..you are pretty much dead.." he said to her. "And i don`t want anything like that to happen to you " Jeremy said and walked a step closer to her. He took the drawing out of her hand and put it on the bed and then took her hands instead.
" Its really good to see you again Anna" Jeremy said and looked into her eyes. He flashed her a smile again and couldn`t stop smiling. He didn`t want to stop smiling either when he looked at her.

Even if Jeremy hadn't just told her that there were sightings, his reaction alone would have told her his concern. Obviously Jeremy wouldn't be concerned about a fictional creature attacking her. She wondered what had drawn the creatures here. If Fell's Church also contained a mystical holding cell for werewolves...well she would find a way to destroy that damned church, historical landmark or not.
Of course, it was possible that this was just a sighting of large wolves or bears or something like that. People were stupid like that.
On the other hand...she shouldn't rule out the possibility. How many times in history had vampires gotten away with sloppy kills because people didn't want to admit that there were indeed things that did go bump in the dark?
"Well, for a moment there I thought you were going to warn me that I might turn into a werewolf," she said, trying to lighten the mood. "Have you got any drawings of sexy vampire women?" she asked. As she finished speaking, she moved her face towards his, leaning in and opening her lips slightly for a kiss.
If she were still human her heart would be pounding with anxiety. She knew where they had been when she had left, but she worried about the fact that she had left him might have changed his feelings toward her.
So would he accept her kiss or not?

Jeremy looked at Anna and smiled a bit. " hehe i wish but..i just wanted to tell you the truth..even though its not that nice to hear" he said and smiled a little more. "Uhm...yeah but just one. I couldn`t draw anyone else than you " Jeremy said and grinned at her. Jeremy had spent time making drawings of Anna. He had them in a drawer. He looked at her when she moved closer to him. His heart was beating faster.
Jeremy leaned in and gave Anna`s lips a kiss. The kiss he had been waiting to give her. He placed his hands on her sides and rubbed them slowly. It felt good being so close to Anna again.
He had really missed this, and his feelings were stronger for Anna now. He knew that Anna was the girl he wanted to be with. He kissed her some more and just enjoyed the moment with her. He felt warm and happy.

One werewolf. Well, that wasn't TOO bad, as far as things went for Mystic Falls. Still, it was a troubling development...but Anna let her mind shift to more pleasant matters as she kept kissing Jeremy. They spent some time just like that, reacquainting with one another's mouths.
She remembered they had just made love for the first time the night before she had left Mystic Falls. And that's what it had been, however cheesy and naive that sounded. Most of the times in her life she had sex with people, including with Ben, it had been as a way of manipulating people to do what she wanted, just like compulsion. It had felt wonderful to share such an intimate experience with someone she actually cared for.
Anna pulled away first. She could kiss Jeremy all day, but he needed to breathe. She gave an exhilerated smile. "Come on, let's get out of your room and go for a walk."

Jeremy returned Anna`s kisses some more. He didn`t want to stop kissing her right now. He smiled into the kisses as well as he held her closer to him. He had missed this so much. But at some time the kisses had to stop too. He looked at Anna as she pulled away to let him breathe. He smiled to her.
" Yeah lets go out for a walk, that sounds like a good idea, to get some fresh air " Jeremy said. " I`ll just get my jacket and then we`re out of here..come on lets go downstairs" Jeremy said to her and walked over to the door and opened it to let her out first and he could follow her downstairs. Jeremy looked at Anna and looked forward to their walk outside.
He knew that they had a lot to talk about. There was always something they could discuss. As they were downstairs, Jeremy grabbed his jacket and put it on. "There , all ready." he said and grabbed Anna`s hand, ready to go outside.

Anna smiled as Jeremy continued to kiss her. She had missed this as much as he had. She nodded as he agreed to go with a walk with her. She giggled as he took her hand. She brushed her free hand through her hair when they stepped outside and lifted her face to feel the sunlight.
"I see you restrained yourself from getting some other vampire to change you in my absence," she said, only half-joking. She gently hip-bumped Jeremy as they walked. She honestly wasn't sure if he wanted her to still change him into a vampire, and that was why she had left the vial of her blood with him.
As things stood now...she liked Jeremy. She wasn't sure if he still wanted her to change him, as he had originally been interested in being changed so he could be with Vicki. If he was still interested...well, maybe someday soon, but not yet. She wanted to see how well their relationship worked first. And she suspected that Jeremy still had a romantic view of what vampires were like. The scene from Queen of the Damned where Lestat savagely killed a woman in front of that redhead came to mind. Vampirism was difficult to adjust to at first, and she feared she might be more likely to lose Jeremy if she did change him.
"So I've been thinking about enrolling in Mystic Falls High. Mom's not too psyched about it, of course, but she hasn't said no." Well, that was a technicality, as her and mother weren't really speaking anymore. Pearl had grown frustrated with her continued interest in Jeremy.
Anna knew that she was a grown woman and should feel free to make her own decisions. Still, after all this time, getting the cold shoulder from you family still hurt.
But she didn't need to bother Jer with all her problems right after she had just reconnected with him.

Jeremy walked out with Anna and felt the sunlight on his face. It was nice outside today. He looked at her as she spoke. He smiled at her. " Well, i don`t want anyone else to change me..I only want you to do it, and i still want it. " Jeremy said and looked at her as they were walking. He grinned a bit when she hip bumped into him. " But i want it to happen when you feel ready to do it " he also said.
Jeremy still wanted to be changed into a vampire, and that by Anna and no one else. He just hoped that she would still do it when he wanted it to happen and when she was ready to do it. And he wanted to be changed so he could spend his life with Anna, to be with her. Jeremy was in love with Anna.
He looked at her as she spoke again. "Oh yeah ? That`s awesome Anna, then i get to see you everyday " he said and smiled brighter to her. "well its your own decision if you want to go to school..you are old enough to decide that on your own " he said and smiled to her. He was glad that she was gonna go to Mystic Falls High. Nothing was gonna keep them apart anymore, Jeremy thought.
Jeremy took Anna`s hand and intertwined their fingers. He wanted to be seen with her in public. Jeremy didn`t care what people would say. He didn`t listen to Elena or anyone else. She had nothing to say about it because she was dating Stefan.
"So is there anything you want to talk about on our walk ?" Jeremy asked Anna.

Anna smiled and shook her head. It was amazing how many things related to vampirism sounded like sexual innuendo when taken out of context. He had just said that he wanted her to do it but only when she was comfortable with it. Well, that was why humans used vampires as a way of expressing sexual fantasies in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
She was glad to switch subjects to school. "Yeah, you're right. It's just hard being at odds with Pearl. She was one of my closest friends for over a century. I know, it sounds like every teenager's nightmare, right? Stuck with your mother for eternity?
"Stefan might not be too happy about it, but I think he'll endure it. We, uh, kinda have some bad history. Nothing romantic," she assured him. Jeremy probably knew about the whole thing about kidnapping his sister. And yet somehow he was cool with it. Then again, dating a vampire required revising one's sense of morality somewhat. No doubt Elena was learning that as well.
"Not particularly," she said in answer to his question. "I'd say it sucked missing the Founder's Ball...but I've been to so many by this point it's ridiculous. And as I recall, you looked pretty miserable at the Miss Mystic Falls celebration." She giggled.

Jeremy looked at Anna and smiled as she talked. Jeremy shook his head. " Its not weird at all, i mean, i wish mom and dad was still alive you know.." he said and looked down at the ground as they were walking. " I would want my parents to be around forever.." he also said and sighed a bit. He really wished that his parents was still alive. " So you are lucky to have at least one parent around " he said and smiled.
He looked at her as she mentioned Stefan and that they had history. But nothing romantic. He was happy to hear that. " Okey.." Jeremy said and smiled to her. " Did you have something romantic going on with Damon then ?" he asked her and looked at her.
Jeremy smiled. " Yeah..wasn`t that fun at the ball.." he said and grinned. " But..you know..i got through it " he said and kicked a little rock on the ground. It was a little windy outside. "So what should we do tonight ?" Jeremy asked Anna and smiled. He wanted to spend time with her more.
"You wanna go and hang out at the Mystic Grill..play some pool and get a soda or something ?" he asked Anna and looked at her.
