She has beautiful brown eyes, and Long, wavy, brown hair that reaches a few inches past her chest. She has bangs that are cut above her eyebrows. On informal occasions, it is usually pulled back behind her ears in some sort of style, like with braids. Jocelyn is fairly average height standing at around 5 foot 7 inches, and weighs around 130 pounds. She has tattoos on her hands and feet. On the front of her left hand are small brown flowers. On her the top of both feet, the design resembles a spiky flower, with small flowers in between the points and has gold detail. On her wrists and ankles, they almost appear like golden jewelry, with swirling patterns colored with gold and with fine brown lines tracing over them. They are symbolic of the sacredness of the Guardians.

PERSONALITY , Jocelyn enjoys anything that deals with the arts or history. She is intelligent, wise, and has the rare gift of balancing her emotions and mind. She has undying devotion to her faith and is equipped to defend her beliefs in a heartbeat. It can be hard to change Jocelyn’s mind at first, although she can eventually adapt to different ideas once more light is shed on a situation.
Jocelyn is very outspoken and isn't against voicing her opinions, especially as she believes she's always right and therefore her words should be heard. Jocelyn has an air of confidence around her and trusts in her own abilities and wisdom.
She's a fairly bossy sort of woman, and definitely the type who has control over men as opposed to the other way around. Jocelyn hates being regarded as helpless or weak because she is a woman, although she may play that card in order to get her way at times. If it's to obtain her goal, Jocelyn is determined enough that she will stoop to anything, from acting to seduction. She's especially talented when it comes to lying.
Jocelyn isn't a delicate person, and she's not afraid to get physical, what with her training. But beneath Jocelyn rough and tough personality, there lies a certain level of softness that she doesn’t yet know she has. Jocelyn is still on her guard whenever she first meets someone, but she tries to keep her mind a little more open to the possibilities. HISTORY, When Petrova blood was sacrificed to seal the sun and the moon curse, a group called the Guardians; humans chosen to protect the sun and moon curse at all costs, was created. Some Guardians have special powers.
Many years later when Klaus decided to try and break the curse, a witch prophesized that a young guardian girl with a unique gift would protect the Petrova doppelganger and stop Klaus from breaking the curse. The only thing that was not known was when this would take place. After hearing of the prophecy, Klaus killed off all of the Guardians, or so he thought. The Guardians feared they were in danger and sent the last born child and it’s mother into hiding, so that their legacy would still live and so that there would be a chance at protecting the curse.
Thinking that all of the Guardians were dead, Klaus began to carry out his plan to breaking the curse. However, he failed terribly with the first Petrova doppelganger, Katherine Petrova(Pierce), who escaped him and turned herself into a vampire.
Over one hundred years has passed since then. A young girl, Jocelyn Raine Khan, from Petersburg, Virginia, always new she was different. From the time she was just a little girl, Jocelyn’s mother always told her about their ancestry and the family destiny. She’d been told that vampires, werewolves, and witches existed, and was always fascinated by the stories. Her mother passed down some journals to her. This journals were from the original group of Guardians and explained nearly everything about them and their purpose. They also had detailed writings about vampires and witches. Just a few months ago, she suddenly developed a unique gift and spirit of an original Guardian came to her and explained what she must do. Jocelyn has moved to Mystic Falls, Virginia to take on her destiny.

Having left Petersburg much later than she had wanted too, Jocelyn arrived in Mystic Falls late and did not have time to stop at her apartment to unpack and instead had to go straight to school as she was already late. Jocelyn pulled into the school parking lot and turned off the car. She stared out the window for a few minutes thinking of why she was now in Mystic falls. She knew there were vampires and a witch there, and she had to protect a girl named Elena Gilbert, because if she failed then the sun and moon curse would be broken. But she didn't know what Elena looked liked like. She didn't even know how long she'd be in Mystic Falls, but there was no way she was gonna miss her senior year of high school, so Jocelyn enrolled at the high school.
Jocelyn finally got out of the car deciding she was already late enough and headed off to find the school office to get signed in. After doing so, she was escorted by the secretary to her first class, history with Mr. Saltzman. Jocelyn entered the class and handed a slip to the young teacher and found a empty seat as she was told. Jocelyn sat down at a desk next to the window, as the teacher returned to talking. Little did Jocelyn know the girl she sat next to was the girl she was there to protect.
